Owners of The Pavilion recall an incident in 1997, May 21 to be precise, when Rameez Raja, Shahid Afridi, Azhar Mehmood and Md Wasim Walked in, bough cricket equipment barely a few hours before the start of the match against India on that day (in fact, the 194 runs scored by Saeed Anwar, a world record, was made from the bat taken by Rameez Raja from the show room).
